Consultancy Sales – Defence

Already a force in the defence, intelligence and national security areas of consulting, the firm seeks an additional senior resource who is a proven business winner. You’ll be responsible for bringing in substantial business with major accounts in the public and private sector defence arena, and will as a result spend a significant proportion of your time selling, rather than delivering.

The likely successful candidate is likely to have around ten years experience as a consultant, plus a spell spent in the defence (or related) sector itself. You’ll be able to show multi-million pound sales performance, selling business consultancy (not IT) to the MOD and Agencies, defence contractors and connected businesses.

To be selected for the role, you'll need to demonstrate:

- strong client-side experience in consulting

- evidence of generating new defence-related consulting engagements

- a high hit rate in successful proposal responses

The consultancy's work is around change and transformation. You'll influence clients and potential clients on financial and non-financial processes in this area, and will be able to contribute to thought leadership in the wider defence field.

This is a senior position. The brief is to build and develop a top-ranked defence practice by nurturing high level, sustainable relationships with defence organisations.
