Six figure salary + pension Based Edinburgh

Creative Scotland has been designated by the Scottish Government as the new national development body for the arts and culture, embracing the creative industries. Building on the achievements of the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen, it will support, champion and develop a far wider range of cultural activity, placing artists and creativity firmly at its centre. In fulfilling its four main roles as advisor, advocate, investor and broker, Creative Scotland will provide leadership and expertise and will not be afraid to be bold, radical or experimental.

An experienced Chief Executive with an international vision is sought to provide strategic and inspirational leadership for Creative Scotland. Key aspects of the role will be to deliver on plans and goals, establish collaborative partnerships and promote the creative sector to the public, Government and other funders.

The ideal candidate will have insight into the creative sector at senior level; the authority to work within a highly political environment; excellent communication and influencing skills; evidence of strong recent success in leadership and change management; the ability and credibility to lead a national creative organisation; and the passion to want to make a difference for culture in Scotland.
