Our client is ambitious, fast moving and growing, with excellent prospects … are you? Underpinned by Private Equity and with a successful B2B service proposition they are in a lucrative market and are taking a rapidly increasing share. This is due to their radically different model (underpinned by better technology and CSR) pulled by a highly proactive sales engine.

They are happy to give you your first major Sales Manager’s role. Capability is more important than qualification; hunger, ambition, energy, drive and sheer determination are required, coupled with commercial nous/business acumen, interpersonal & social skills, plus the street wisdom to generate new business. A strong salesman/woman, you can lead from the front. An excellent opener … you are also organised, professional and a closer/completer/finisher.

You will manage a small team of 8, split between field and telesales to drive a regime of cold calling and set appointments – i.e. proactive telephone and fieldwork. This is a close-coupled operation with daily monitoring and tough targets, but it is really going places. You must have a demonstrable B2B sales success record with some people management experience. An articulate self-starter, you are also a three dimensional person (not a sales machine). Your current employer is moving too slowly ...
