HEAD OF MARKETING

Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales is the strategic body responsible for the development, promotion and marketing of Welsh red meat. In operation for over six years, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced, strategy focused Head of Marketing to join the established management team, and to build on the impressive progress already made in raising the profile, brand awareness and market share of Welsh Lamb, Welsh Beef and Welsh Pork both at home and overseas.

Key emphases of the role will include:

• Developing an integrated marketing strategy for expansion into new markets across Europe and beyond

• The conceptual design, coordination, management and audit of integrated media promotional campaigns to leverage brand awareness and influence consumer choice

• Building a strong framework of relationships with retailers and foodservice operators to enhance brand awareness, improve product placement and increase consumption of Welsh Lamb, Welsh Beef and Welsh Pork.

• Developing credible relationships with political and other public bodies both domestically and internationally

• Co-ordinating and managing the priorities, budgets and outputs of the Marketing team.

You are likely to possess impressive credentials and experience of marketing and promotional management within the food or related markets, in either the private or public sector. The post, which is based in Aberystwyth, will involve regular international travel, and carries an attractive salary and benefits package.
