Our Business Recovery team has an urgent requirement fora Senior Associates to join the Receivable Management Group. Although wehave offices throughout the UK, we are primarily interested in hearing from candidates in the Midlands region - to be based at our Birmingham office. As a Senior Associate you willundertake and provide a range of Receivable Managementservices to Business Recovery Services, the wider firm and its clients including: Executory:
  • Managing and assisting with collection of sales ledgers for insolvent companies
  • Conducting sales ledger reviews
Consulting:
  • Mapping existing processes and identifying weaknesses
  • Providing recommendations for improvement

  • Significant experience in credit management or similar supervisory role
  • Self Starter
  • Some knowledge of insolvency preferred
  • Ability to show initiative whilst working to established methodologies where appropriate
  • Confident and professional
  • Team worker and with ability to work alone under own initiative
  • Must be able to work locally, nationally and possibly Europe-wide, and therefore to be able to accommodate travel and potentially significant time away from home
  • Institute of Credit Management (ICM) qualification or studying for one
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills are essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence


The Executory role includes management of collection of debts for insolvent companies, usually where PwC has been appointed in the insolvency proceedings. A hands on approach is essential.

Executory work also includes debtor book reviews for BRS or external clients. This can include fuller reviews of the systems and processes in place that underpin the sales ledger and its value.

The Consulting role includes identification of credit management process improvement throughout the entire sales cycle, and implementation of the recommended actions. It also entails identification of opportunities to generate cash, usually for clients that are experiencing cash flow difficulties.

Both roles will entail planning, strategising and negotiating with debtors and all stakeholders to achieve success. Time on client site varies from case to case and can last several weeks, and sometimes months. Please follow the link for a detailed job description.
