The role:
We are looking for an inspirational leader who will take overall operational responsibility for the site and its P&L. Working within the Northern Foods and business unit strategies, alongside the Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and site strategy development across the site, including delivery of customer and Northern Foods targets. With overall multi-functional responsibility we will look for you to develop and inspire the team through driving site communication and employee engagement.
Meeting all Health & Safety and Technical standards, your objective will be to control and continually reduce the cost of manufacture through a site manufacturing improvement plan; as well as controlling the investments and overheads of the site to deliver customer expectations, whilst meeting financial targets.
Essential criteria:

With proven experience of delivering successful cultural change management & performance improvement programmes, you will be able to provide clear evidence of talent management, people development and operational excellence at all levels. Self motivated and highly resilient, you will have strong commercial and financial acumen.
Candidates should be geographically mobile, as Northern Foods operates across the UK and future roles could be based at any one of our 21 sites. It's the expertise of our people and their passion for what they do that makes the difference at Northern Foods. In return we expect commitment, motivation and a shared passion to produce the best tasting food to the highest quality and delivered on time to meet our customer’s needs.
In return you can expect a competitive salary, excellent bonus potential, fully expensed company car or car allowance, family private medical insurance, pension scheme and 25 days annual leave.
