International Affairs Officer

You will work to attract direct foreign investment and expansion projects in finance and professional services to the City, furthering our standing as a leading global financial centre. Working closely with colleagues internally and external partners, you will develop and implement a strategy to deliver a programme of inward investment activities. You will act as the first point of contact for investors and key financial services contacts from the USA, making your background in inward investment promotion or other related sector doubly important. You will also provide policy advice on issues affecting the City’s business interests overseas.

The role demands a good education, with relevant professional experience, a history of successful, senior-level relationship building and advanced skills in project management and new business development. You will also need an organised, analytical approach with strong communication and teamwork abilities; competent use of MS Office is essential.
