Our client is a significant business within a UK based FTSE 250 group, with the group having achieved high profile international success in recent years. They are leaders in their field and as a consumer facing business safety is at the heart of everything they do. The business has a good track record in safety and they are now recruiting a new Head of Safety to drive forward further improvements and ensure that this critical area is embedded across the business.

Reporting to the Managing Director your role will be to build upon the current safety management processes and to develop, implement and monitor strategies to maintain and improve safety performance across the operations. This role will be accountable for a wide range of safety across the business, including occupational safety and risk, as well as inputting into a nationally prominent project which is core to the future business strategy. Bringing innovative and pro-active solutions to further improve on the safety record will be part of the challenge and the ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders is key.

You will be an experienced and suitably qualified safety professional with a successful track record of achievement in a high profile, public facing business. An experienced team manager you will be highly analytical and have an assertive yet persuasive style that will enable you to achieve change in a complex organisation.
