The Director of Commercial Development will be responsible for negotiating and managing the range of contracts through which NHS Employers delivers its services for members, and will also support the Chief Executive in developing and exploiting exciting new business opportunities across the NHS Confederation. He or she will be a member of the NHSE Board and involved in setting the direction of the leading membership organisation for NHS Employers during challenging times.

The successful applicant will have excellent commercial experience in a large and/or complex organisation and an understanding of the challenges facing the NHS. Experience of contracting within a public sector or public sector facing body would be an advantage.
