Banking & Capital Markets - Audit Senior Managers - London

The Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) business group at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)is looking forSenior Managers with exposure to the investment banking environment to work on boththe group'sbanking and capital markets clients. You will be working on a wide range of clients varying in size and will have the opportunity to work in teams of up to 20 people. Your portfolio will include a variety of Investment Banking audit clients but will also expose you to special assignments within the sector.

B&CMare the banking audit leaders in the UK. B&CM provides assurance services to a broad range of clients including retail banks, investment banks, mortgage lenders, brokers and dealers, exchanges, regulators and other financial intermediaries through industry focused assurance staff and technical and regulatory specialists.

• ACA qualification (or equivalent) withbroad ranging audit experience including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments
B & CM experience is prerequisite, this could include for example product knowledge or understanding of controls, processing, risk management of financial instruments Demonstrated team player Effective communication skills when working at all levels with well developed listening and questioning techniques A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions A demonstrated ability to take responsibility and use initiative, especially when working to tight deadlines Ability to work autonomously without direct day to day management Desire for continuous self improvement Experience in supervising and developing staff Knowledge of IAS 39 and/or FAS 157 is highly desirable Sarbanes Oxley experience is also advantageous however not essential
