Eight-week summer internship programme

Internship positions with Mercer are a fantastic opportunity for students in their penultimate year of study to get a taste of working for a multinational consulting firm. Each summer, we offer internships across many of our UK locations in investment consulting, and retirement, risk and finance consulting. The eight-week programme runs from the beginning of July to the end of August. All work is supervised and you’ll be assigned a buddy to ensure that you settle in quickly and to help you with day-to-day work queries.

This isn’t just work experience. You’ll also get a real taste of the sort of work our graduates do, and we’ll be interested in getting to know you and seeing how much you can learn and develop while you’re with us. We’ll also make sure you receive plenty of support and get useful feedback on your performance. Successful interns may be offered a graduate role at the end of their internship.

Fifteen-month business placement, Belfast

If you’re taking a gap year or a year out as part of your degree, you could join us for a 15-month business placement in retirement, risk and finance consulting in Belfast . Over the placement, you’ll immerse yourself in the business, building strong data analysis skills and contributing to your team’s success. You’ll gain great industry knowledge, develop your commercial awareness and get a real taste of a potential career with us.

You’ll need

To join our business placement or internship programmes you’ll need a minimum of 320 UCAS points, including a grade B or above in A-level Mathematics, and a 2.1 honours degree expected or obtained in a numerate or semi-numerate degree discipline. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
