ExxonMobil Lubricants and Specialties is the worlds leading supplier of lubricant products and services for industrial, automotive, marine and aviation consumers. We supply a wide variety of high quality lubricants for all applications, and including top quality synthetic oils such as Mobil 1, with energy saving, long life and low emission characteristics. Our customer base is broad and diverse, ranging from individual consumers buying a litre of oil for their car, through to global industrial companies buying thousands of tons of lubricants and services for their ships or manufacturing plants and equipment.

The business is headquartered in Fairfax USA, with subsidiary offices in many countries around the world, including at Leatherhead, UK.

We are looking for numerate graduates with a technical degree who speak fluent English and possibly another language.

Scope of the roles

As a new graduate you will be part of a multicultural team responsible for our business in the UK and other countries within the cluster. Activities include sales, marketing and technical support activities across local, national, regional and strategic global accounts.

Following an initial period of orientation and training, entry level opportunities typically include commercial roles supporting a senior sales manager or field engineer, marketing supporting or business development support. After a period of time in a support role, you will start to take on direct responsibility for a select portfolio of customers, including both technical and commercial responsibilities, ensuring that your customer's needs for the correct lubrication are properly addressed and business opportunities are fully developed.

Typical career path

Lubricants and Specialties is a global integrated business, and as such it offers a broad spectrum of job roles from sales, marketing and technical support, through strategic planning and business analysis, or manufacturing, supply and distribution. After your first assignment, you’ll be ready to jump into a variety of rewarding and challenging projects in which you can develop your strengths as well as gain new skills and experience, both in UK and internationally.

The skills and knowledge that you gain in Lubricants and Specialties will position you well for future assignments in other departments within ExxonMobil.
