You will be responsible for generating and managing new accounts, selling solutions from the world’s leading IT companies like Microsoft and HP. Outstanding training and coaching will be provided.

Your Role

  • Generation of new accounts / opportunities through:
    • Business Intelligence gathering / research
    • Targeted Activity
    • Following up marketing activity
    • Introduction of Sales Specialists (Security / Services / Storage)
    • Customer Visits to introduce Softcat as and when required
  • To maximise revenue / profit from every managed account through:
    • Developing a thorough understanding of the customers business needs
    • Introduction of as many core product sets as possible to each account
    • Introduction of Sales Specialists (Security / Services etc)
    • Develop multiple contacts within each account
    • Providing the required level of customer service
    • Regular review meetings with customers (where appropriate, ask TL for guidance)
    • Consistantly achieve set targets and objectives
  • To effectively share knowledge of Accounts and opportunities through:
    • Regular Strategic account reviews with Team Leader
    • Maintaining Customer history / opportunities on SLX
    • Maintaining a detailed pipeline that can be made available upon request.
  • To Maintain the required level of knowledge / expertise through:
    • On-going product training
    • External Sales Training (when available)
    • Completion of required certification exams / courses (MLSE etc)
    • Informing your TL or DTL of any training requirements that you have
