Our client is a global luxury hospitality brand with ambitious plans for future growth. It has operations in several international locations and approximately 4,000 employees across the world. Our client seeks to achieve exceptional levels of employee engagement and customer service at every opportunity.
A strong HR and OE function will play a key part in supporting the growth of the business. As a result, our client is now keen to hire a Director of Human Resources and Organisational Effectiveness who will be a key member of the top team.
Our client is looking to recruit an individual to make a significant contribution to the performance and development of the organisation by designing and introducing HR, OE and people management practices, which improve people and customer satisfaction and profit performance, in order to prepare the business for its ongoing development.
This is very much an environment where team members are expected to add value in their own right. Control is not imposed from the centre, but ‘buy in’ is gained through involvement, influencing, enthusiasm, reputation, trust and co-operation.
The challenge thus requires an experienced, credible professional who is not only trusted, empathetic, and clear thinking but has the personality and drive to bring demonstrable added value.
Key Result Areas
• To assist the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Executives to develop organisational strategic plans which meet the current and future needs of the business.
• Working with a team to identify mission critical roles and develop succession plans catering to the present and future human resource needs of the business.
• Partner with local HR and OE Directors to design and implement a ‘leadership talent development system’ that identifies high potential leadership talent across the organisation.
• Create, design, and implement leadership development architecture to provide programmes and processes to develop the leadership skills and capabilities needed to increase employee satisfaction and service excellence.
• Determine and develop a reward process which will enable the Group to attract, retain and motivate employees of the appropriate calibre from an international labour market in a way which helps develop their potential and maximise the performance of the business.
• As a Director, participate in and contribute to all Committees and Boards as required.
Candidate Profile
• Graduate with international experience gained in luxury services businesses where customer satisfaction is a key element in success. Ideally has some previous experience in the luxury hospitality market
• Detailed experience of development, motivation and retention of a service focussed workforce with ambition, and an ability to foster ‘best in class’ solutions.
• Business person with an understanding of finance, sales and marketing, negotiation, competition, strategy and implementation.
• Top level understanding and experience of organisation design, organisation change, cultural shifts and team dynamics.
• Talent expert with demonstrable experience of succession, retention, resourcing, learning and leadership development.
• Exposure to worldwide employee and industrial relations
• Mature, stylish with impact and personal leadership qualities. Polished, clear and articulate communicator in both formal and informal settings.
