Achieving system-wide transformation in workforce planning and education commissioning is a major challenge – and you’ll play a pivotal role in making it happen, with a strong focus on value for money. Development of a Target Operating Model will be a priority, following which you’ll consult extensively with external stakeholders to ensure its successful implementation. After assessing the capability gap between the TOM and current state, you’ll develop a targeted capability development plan and competency framework. You’ll go on to coach and develop a newly formed leadership team to enable high levels of performance across specific business functions.

Your extensive experience in all these specialist areas will be matched by finely tuned political sensitivity and outstanding powers of communication and negotiation of contentious issues. A practised problem solver, you’ll have strong project management, analytical and change management skills. Experience of developing credible business cases is vital, as is the ability to plan and manage budgets.
