Our client, a global consumer products organisation operates in over 125 countries. With a strong brand portfolio, it enjoys a prominent and market leading position in the UK. As the business emerges from a restructure, they now require a UK Sales Director to lead and develop the sales function. Reporting into the Divisional MD, you will:

• Develop the sales strategy and deliver against stretch targets within each channel to market.

• Pursue a strategy of genuine commercial partnership through creative and effective category plans.

• Grow market share of core brands, against the challenge of private label.

• Equip the sales team to maintain the leading position, through effective coaching and development.

• Take a proactive commercial and strategic role on the UK leadership team.

You will have a strong sales background gained in a branded environment, with FMCG experience an advantage. A first class communicator and negotiator you will possess an excellent knowledge, understanding and network within DIY and/or grocery retail and be familiar with category management principles. A talented people manager, the successful candidate will have the charisma and personal presence that will ensure they make a very quick and lasting impact on the organisation.
