£72,000 + benefits Edgbaston, Birmingham

This is an exciting and challenging role for someone to make their mark on the organisation as it enters the next phase of its development and address the opportunities presented by the Government's National Autism Strategy. We are seeking a visionary strategic leader with proven management skills to provide leadership and motivate the senior management and staff team and give autism.west midlands new direction. The CEO will be responsible for developing excellent working relationships with all stakeholders including local authorities, Health Trusts, other voluntary organisations and Government departments, for leading on fundraising and PR and for driving change and continuous quality improvement.

A track record of significant achievement in either the business, public or voluntary sectors is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence decision makers and stakeholders in client organisations. You will have proven skills in strategic planning and implementation, business development, HR, change management, negotiation of contracts and income generation at leadership level. You will have a good understanding of autism, learning disabilities and mental health and a strong philosophy of caring for people.
