Fundraising Director

The role of the Fundraising department is to generate voluntary funds to pay for our clients charitable activities.

Going forward the Charity is looking to expand their online activity and to work with more companies by way of staff fundraising, sponsorship and in-kind support. They are also looking to enhance fundraising from individuals and organisations in local communities, and expand the number of grant making trusts from which support is received.

An opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Director to join the team and be responsible for the effective management and leadership of the Fundraising department and the achievement of agreed targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Management of the Communities, National Events, Individual Giving and Major Giving Teams. Management of the Product Development Manager.

• Produce a detailed strategy for fundraising and secure buy-in from across the charity and especially from the Management Board.

• Ensure the Fundraising strategy is in line with the charity’s financial strategy in particular that the costs of maintaining and growing income are identified and included.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold leadership experience in a large charity or other large organisation covering all relevant fundraising methods.

• Have a proven ability to achieve demanding fundraising targets.

• Possess substantial experience of line-managing staff and large teams.

• Have outstanding problem solving and decision making skills.
