Group Infrastructure Services Director

Cambridge Assessment is a department of the University of Cambridge and one of Europe’s largest assessment organisations. The Group incorporates three exam boards: Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), and OCR.

Reporting to the Group Chief Executive, a new Infrastructure Services (IS) Director will oversee all aspects of Cambridge Assessment’s information management systems, buildings, facilities and logistics. They will join the Group at a time when assessment is undergoing a revolution in design and delivery. Above all their task will be to deliver competitive advantage through technology that will underpin the Group’s continued success.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Board-level professional, used to leading multiple IT and operations disciplines, including software development, technical support and systems architecture. They will be expected to possess a passion for, and a thorough knowledge of, the latest developments in technology, combined with personal conviction and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
