Group Operations Director GOD/445/22

Our client is a leading warehouse operator with multi site functionality throughout the UK, Ireland and Western Europe. Expansion has given rise to the requirement for a Group Operations Director.

The Role

• You will report to the Group Chief Executive and work closely with the Supply Chain Director, controlling warehouse operations including ambient and chilled, which are extensively utilised by leading food, retail and manufacturing groups.

• You will have a very significant P&L and be involved with the overall control of the workforce and general infrastructure of the sites.

• You will be a member of the operational Board and you will be involved in negotiations with major supermarkets, retailers and various segments of industry, including importers.

The Requirement

• You will have a substantial background in Supply Chain logistics, where you can demonstrate a clear success record of organisation and the fulfilment of demanding customer requirements, ideally on a multi site basis.

• You must have the ability to control a large P&L and where necessary identify cost savings, especially in the utilisation of storage capacity.

• You will be articulate with excellent presentation skills, and you must be seen as an inspirational capable leader, who has the ability to achieve the next leadership level. It follows that you will be a graduate.
