Operations and Facilities Manager

This is a newly created Operations Manager role within a successful and growing specialist professional services firm that offers a refreshing and stimulating work environment where independent thinking is encouraged and where every individual genuinely makes a difference.

The purpose of this role is to be the lead for the delivery of all Facilities & IT operational services with a strong focus on the facilities area. You will be responsible for providing resources to support the business in their client delivery and for ensuring timely resolution and delivery of all day to day operational issues. Duties will include managing day-to-day work of teams; planning & monitoring delivery of services from suppliers; managing relevant budgets; ensuring business continuity within the facilities and IT function; coaching and developing staff; and supporting strategic operations.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience of working successfully within an operations management role in a similar environment. Of graduate calibre, you must have proven strategic ability, experience of modern building management, established procurement experience, strong line management skills and an understanding of connectivity to IT networks. Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a collaborative manner is critical. You must be team oriented with clear ability to think creatively whilst maintaining a logical approach. Exceptional influencing and communication (both oral and written) skills are essential.
