Regional Store Operations Controller - North

This is a key role responsible for thirty-five stores in a region generating circa £150 million of sales and recognised as a core growth area. There is an agreed plan of expansion underway nationally as part of Dunelm’s declared ambition to establish 150 stores in the medium term. Your focus will be on leading and motivating a high performance team to achieve stretch targets in sales and profit with a concentration on acting as the voice of the customer, ensuring the continuity of availability in store and improving the capability of the regional and store teams through clear leadership and a commitment to development. This will be generated within a culture that empowers and supports initiative whilst recognising the benefits that can accrue from a consistent approach.

You will be a proven operator who possesses a strong trading instinct built up in an environment where a broad product offering and a core merchandising philosophy have been critical to success. You will be a commercial animal, who leads by example and sets a clear agenda. Equally important will be your commitment to a team ethos and maximising the potential of all your reports. Additionally, you will be a communicator, organised and thorough and possess a commitment to generating ever greater success both individually and collectively.
