Real Estate Analyst - CMBS

The Client:

My client are a financial services firm who provide market intelligence, including independent credit ratings, risk evaluation, and investment research data. Their structured finance team assigns and assesses ratings across RMBS, CMBS, ABS and CDOs. Of these, the Research team has recently focused on RMBS and CDO asset classes, and are now keen to broaden their presence within CMBS. They are therefore looking to recruit a CMBS research analyst to work alongside the existing team of CMBS rating and surveillance analysts.

The Role:

Overall responsibilities

o Identify potential research topics

o Produce leading reports for internal and external publication

o Liaise with external stakeholders, including structured finance investors

o Liaise with internal stakeholders, including CMBS rating and surveillance analysts

o Continually develop knowledge of commercial real estate, CMBS, and broader structured finance and financial markets

What we’re looking for:

To be considered for this role, you must be experienced in CMBS analysis, with advanced Microsoft Access and Excel skills. You must be able to work in an international team including working with offshore and outsourced teams and you must be an effective communicator who can represent teams within the Structured Finance Group

- European languages would be desirable (but not essential)
