Accounts Assistant

Our Clients, a subsidiary of a global branded blue chip organisation in the Food & Drink industry have now created a new position within their accounting department for an Accounts Assistant to Support the finance department on all critical daily operations involving transactional input, controls and processes. You will report directly into the Finance Manager and typical duties will include: Inputting supplier invoices and staff expenses data onto the system, Administering reconciliations for various customer payment methods from accounting records to bank entries, Taking full responsibility for timely inputting of direct debit and BACS customer payment, Administering & ensuring the correct process for orders-on-hold and Administration of VAT 407 refunds. You will also take responsibility for the administration of monthly submission of all finance related internal control documents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to start their career in accounting and gaining practical experience with scope to progress into a more senior position after 18 months. To be considered for this position you must hold a finance related degree, be familiar with Word and Excel and have an outgoing and sociable personality.
