Deputy Plant Manager

An international subsidiary of a diversified global business, our client is one of the world’s leading producers of speciality chemicals. Supported by a global reputation for innovation, the company manufactures and markets a growing range of technologically advanced products used in a wide range of applications, including major international construction projects and in the automotive, offshore, chemical, power plant, wire and cable and fabric coating industries.

In what is a key operational role within the UK facility, you will make a significant contribution to both performance and profitability through the leadership of manufacturing functions and the management of key production assets. Central to your success will be the development and implementation of a progressive manufacturing and engineering strategy to underpin business goals and consolidate the Company’s position as a world class manufacturer of specialty chemicals.

A strong leader with outstanding communication, negotiation and influencing skills, you combine a Chemistry/Chemical Engineering degree qualification with substantial senior management experience in the chemicals or plastics industry - giving you sound knowledge of process manufacturing issues, and SHE as it relates to hazardous chemical processing. An open, collaborative style of leadership will also be essential, and it would be an advantage if your experience has been gained in an international environment.
