Backed by the resources of a £7bn pa parent, our client is an international market leader in the design and manufacture of leading edge, hi-tech products and systems for a prestigious portfolio of international government agencies and prime contractors.

With rapidly expanding markets and an ambitious plan of acquisitive and organic growth they are keen to appoint a high calibre and ambitious Programme Director to help lead them through this period of tremendous opportunity, change and growth.

THE ROLE

This is a role of extraordinary scope and potential. Reporting to the COO and leading a large, highly skilled and dedicated team, you will be responsible for helping develop and deliver the business strategy that ensures their challenging growth and profit objectives are met. Enjoying P&L responsibility, your key tasks will be to bring new and

innovative products and technologies to market, from original customer brief, product specification, design and manufacture, through to timely and profitable delivery. Projects will vary from “blue sky” to “return on experience” but all will require strong customer relationships, inspirational technical/man-management skills, a clear vision and the ability to introduce and utilise the very latest in planning/analysis process’s and techniques.

THE PERSON

A hands-on programme management professional, you will have the experience and gravitas to liaise at the highest levels within our client’s international customer base. An electrical/electronics background is preferable whereas personal credibility, enthusiasm and a flair for communication will be essential.
