Sub-Contract Manager

They are a prime contractor and major supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence and have developed strong capabilities in mission systems integration in defence, national security and commercial markets. They design, develop and manufacture a range of high technology electronic systems and software at its facilities in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, employing 72,000 people worldwide.

Based in Farnborough, you will build and lead a team who are responsible for all aspects of Subcontract Strategy, Selection and Management of the process for a large programme. You will work at a strategic level with other senior members of the Programme Management Team, creating strategic acquisition plans for the selection of supply partners and relationship types, tools processes, procedures and resources required to achieve the strategy and execute plans. Where alliances and subcontract partners are required you will work closely with the Programme Management Team to deliver the benefits internally and externally, building up and managing key relationships by developing the appropriate behaviour sets.

You will be a strong team leader, a confident individual with all round business knowledge and experience You will posses the ability to develop, trusting, long term, cross-organization relationships through innovative thinking and value creation. With extensive Subcontract/Supplier Management experience gained by dealing with MoD type Firm Price Contracts and/or managing PFI Contracts using industry best practice in subcontract management, programme management and logistics management.
