Head of IT

This market leading service provider is a large and successful division of an FTSE 100 business with genuine global reach delivering support to both public and private sector clients. As a part of the ongoing evolution of IT the organisation has defined the need to recruit a seasoned and experienced divisional Head of IT to lead and co-ordinate the delivery of IT to all service lines within the business unit. This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior management position within a well regarded, successful and growing business.

The Role

• Provide strong, business facing leadership and develop an effective IT strategy for the business unit, aligned to the overarching group strategy. Engender a culture of IT collaboration and continual improvement across the division.

• As a senior manager and a key decision maker, the Head of IT will guide a devolved team through the successful delivery of technology enabled projects & programmes.

• Proactively seek out opportunities to create commercial advantage through commercially led technology solutions delivery and innovation.

The Candidate:

• As a proven leader you will have highly developed interpersonal skills and be able to develop relationships at all levels of the organisation. Energy, drive and commercial awareness are paramount to successful leadership in a matrix structure.

• Strong influencing skills, cross functional collaboration and knowledge sharing will enable your effectiveness in driving change and improvement within IT and the business.

• A solid business facing, delivery focused technical pedigree. Proven experience of successfully delivering business critical technology projects to a diverse and challenging customer base in the B2B sector.
