The new Core Learning Programme, requested by the leadership of the Civil Service, will help shape the Civil Service going forward. The National School of Government, whose purpose is to improve public services through high quality, high value learning and development, is being asked to create and supply this programme.

To achieve this, the National School of Government is investing continuously in its own excellence by building its capability to deliver and is currently looking to appoint Heads of Practice for Leadership & Strategy and Policy & Working in Government.

Both posts will lead a learning and development practice to develop the business and reputation of the National School of Government, in the context of significant change and transformation.

These are permanent, full-time positions. Existing civil servants will join on loan.
