Fred. Olsen Limited is a family managed, multi-faceted private organisation with interests in a variety of industry sectors both in the UK and internationally.

A unique opportunity now exists for a senior level director appointment, to take the company forward in the growing markets that the business operates. The position will be considered for the role of Chief Executive on retirement of the current incumbent.

Financial Director

Responsible for all aspects of financial management across the organisation, this role will be pivotal in ensuring that all groups within the organisation are positioned well enough to meet the current and future demands and challenges generated by the business and its operating environment. You will develop, implement and monitor the financial strategy and ensure that all financial systems, policies and procedures are effective and meet the various standards required.

It is essential that you have experience of working within a multi-subsidiary business and the challenges that this type of organisation will face. You will be a chartered accountant with senior level experience up to and including board level. Both technically and operationally experienced, you will be confident in making decisions, with the ability to identify, react and be innovative in response to opportunities presented to you. You will be personable, friendly and approachable, seeing the value in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships, but at the same time, know when to take a more direct approach.

Candidates should have experience in dealing with acquisitions, taxation and international subsidiaries.

A background in the renewable energy sector is preferred. Experience in the Travel and Tourism industry would also be an advantage.
