The role of the HR Business partner requires the successful individual to act as a strategic partner to the organisation. Working as a true HR generalist, you will be providing expert consultative advice on the following, organisational development, change management, talent management, performance management, employee communications, reward and employee relations.
You will need to deliver a variety of projects, which will support the business functions through a period of significant change.
You will need to be able to build effective partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring you are delivering towards the commercial business strategy.
You will need to manage a variety of complex and demanding ER issues and will need to provide advice to managers within this area.
You will need to hold experience of managing conflict and therefore act as a mediator in order to manage competing personalities.
You will need to manage performance management , which will include the roll out of performance management, including developing appropriate templates and processes.
The role will also require experience of managing talent management, which will include attracting, developing and retaining talent across all levels.
You should hold a strong track record of working within a challenging environment, providing a business partner service across a full HR generalist remit. You should hold an extensive background within the areas of employee relations, employment law, performance management, coaching and change management.
The successful individual will need to demonstrate extensive experience of having worked in a challenging environment, having dealt with high volume complex employee relation issues. The individual will need to hold extensive experience of working with unions and be able to influence and build creditability with these.
You will need to demonstrate how you can provide a forward thinking HR service and have previous experience of working within a true business partnering structure.
You should ideally come from a media background, be of graduate calibre and be fully CIPD qualified.
