This Market leader now seeks to appoint a high calibre Procurement Professional to join their management team to drive and implement procurement and supply chain strategies across the group.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain & Purchasing and leading dedicated procurement and Supply Chain teams, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s purchasing and supply chain strategies. Your key tasks will be to introduce best practice, improve the existing supply base through strategic commodity sourcing and negotiation, to initiate and implement cost reduction programmes and at the same time to improve levels of availability and service throughout the global supply chain.

The Person

o This is a hands-on role calling for an experienced and enlightened purchasing professional, a crusader for change, who is well used to the demands of fast moving, price and quality conscious industry.

o To be successful, you will need to demonstrate a successful track record of identifying and introducing robust policies and practices to create lean, effective and value adding operations.

o Ideally professionally qualified preferably with a postgraduate qualification, you will have excellent interpersonal and outstanding leadership skills, a practical and pragmatic approach and possess the drive, determination and enthusiasm to make a significant contribution to their future success.
