Finance Director

A global hotel brand is seeking to appoint a strongly operational Finance Director to lead a multi-site team across the business’ UK properties.

The FD role will have a strong focus on finance/information and hotel performance and will ensure the finance teams are correctly structured, highly motivated and have a strong commercial attitude. Overall performance management is the priority and the Finance Director will determine corrective action when necessary.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant. He/she might come from a variety of backgrounds but experience of working in a complex multi-site environment would be an advantage.

Across the portfolio there are a variety of contracts with a huge amount of diversity across each agreement. So our client requires someone who can take a broad view of a regional portfolio but also dives down into the detail as/when required. Sound negotiation skills will be essential and the individual needs to be sharply commercial, have strong analytical/negotiation skills and be very front facing.

Internally, good leadership skills will be essential to shape and motivate a large finance team so there is a consistent and deep commercial attitude across the business. A key challenge is the number of properties over a wide geographical area.

You will have the personal style/presence to be a strong ambassador for the business – both internally and externally – with the ability to engage easily and drive change. Strong relationship building skills will be essential.
