A profitable UK division of a global group, our client now wishes to appoint an experienced Electronics Engineer with experience in hardware and software design, ideally gained within marine, transportation or building services control type applications, or similar.

The Role

Working as part of a specialist team, you will be responsible for producing new designs from scratch, along with modifications to electronics hardware and software products. Additionally, you will be responsible for the control of design Information to comply with Quality Assurance requirements, and for the production of technical proposals and cost estimates for new or modified electronic hardware or software designs. In addition, your responsibilities will also include the development of appropriate test methods, along with close liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors.

The Person

To be successful in this role, candidates are likely to have experience in:

o design of hardware and software for Embedded Real-Time control systems

o modification and use of C/C++, PL/M and Assembler languages

o specification and use of Intel 8086 and TMS 320 processors

o hardware design involving analogue and digital applications

o micro-processor interfacing and programming of logic devices

o EMC design, and ideally, qualifications at HND/degree level, or equivalent experience, in electronic engineering, or a related discipline.
