With multiple and diverse manufacturing operations across four continents, this market leader now wishes to appoint a high calibre and ambitious Head of Supply Chain to join their successful team to drive the implementation of their strategies throughout their global supply chain.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Director and leading a dedicated global team, your key tasks will be to develop and implement ‘best practice’ supply chain and logistic strategies, to drive down costs and to ensure high customer service targets are consistently achieved. You will be responsible for promoting ‘best practice’ throughout the Group and for ensuring that risks are identified and assessed and that that controls are in place to eliminate or minimise those risks.

The Person

Backed by a post-graduate qualification, preferably in a business related discipline and enhanced by formal training in procurement and modern supply chain philosophies you will be a hands-on Supply Chain Management professional who is well used to the demands of a fast moving, price and quality conscious industry. Ideally you will have experience of sourcing and controlling global suppliers, logistics and risk management. The ideal candidate will certainly be able to demonstrate success at identifying and introducing innovative change, creating lean operational environments, increasing efficiencies, championing cost reduction initiatives and improving levels of service achieved through maximising value added opportunities. As well as excellent interpersonal and management skills, you will have a practical and pragmatic approach and possess the drive, enthusiasm and motivational skills that get results.
