Business Development Manager

A wholly owned subsidiary of a $1billion US corporation, this market leading organisation designs and manufactures a wide variety of injection moulded, plastic packaging products, supplied into a wide range of market sectors. Their success and continued growth is founded on product innovation, quality, customer service and marketing sophisticated packaging solutions, delivering first to market advantage to their customers within an increasingly competitive and growing market.

The organisation now wishes to recruit a high calibre business development professional who will identify, develop and exploit new market opportunities across all sectors within the European region

The Opportunity

- Working closely with the European Managing Director and the sales and marketing teams, this hands on role takes responsibility for securing the long term sales growth and profitability for the organisation.

-Requiring significant market research, imagination and relationship building skills, you will identify potential customer/market opportunities and provide the leadership to ensure these opportunities are assessed, developed and exploited within the framework of business planning.

- An integral member of the leadership team, you will balance the market opportunity with the technical risk, assessing the competitive advantage and provide clarity on key investment decisions.

Your Credentials

-Successful candidates will have a strong track record of identifying and exploiting new product and new market opportunities where product innovation is vital. Experience of the injection moulding industry is required.

-Educated to degree level or equivalent, candidates will have significant business development experience across Europe and ideally have a technical appreciation of injection moulding.

-Candidates must be determined and motivated and above all possess an entrepreneurial flair that allows them to identify and exploit as yet unrealised market and product opportunities. A second european language would also be useful.
